Pit bulls are hell on toys. There is no other way to put it. It isn't necessarily because of some inherent need to destroy in all cases, but in many, it really is. Ice

If you have an outside dog most especially, find a proper bone shaped or any other manageable shaped mold and make ice treats for your dog. Dogs not only love to crunch ice, but in hot weather it can help to regulate their temperature, hydrate them, and numb any sore puppy gums in the process.

SockKnot

I just call it a sockknot and it is just as it sounds. So *WARNING* The sockknot is created from useless, quitters, solo, or otherwise dead socks. This means if you are in the regular habit of leaving your viable sock options scattered around, this MAY NOT be the best option for you. When socks quit or their mates are abducted by the dryer monster, tie them together. Most socks, even the flimsy ones, make fairly good knots when knotted with a good long-strong pull. Socks that are too small to merit tying, should be stuffed into the toe end of those that will knot just fine. In this manner you can create a quite endless sock monster for your pitties. This sock monster will be slayed, it will not live for much longer than a store-bought knot, but in my experience, they actually live a bit longer. Sure, it may turn into two or three sock monsters before it is time to finally retire the sock pile, but it will make a quite effective toy while it lasts.

If you tire of giving your pit bull rawhide treats, expecting them to last at least 15 minutes, only to find them properly destructed in 2 minutes or less. Invest in some Bully sticks. They can be expensive, and they can also have a somewhat unpleasant smell if they are not de-scented, but they will absolutely, positively, last quite a long time.
